[social] Other people misusing and overusing terms doesn’t mean they are wrong or not incredibly helpful. There is always a cycle when a term hits popularity and it starts getting misused and used for everything. But, over time that erosion of meaning has people stop using the term and it becomes helpful again. Things are a bit better in academic circles. I’ve watched nearly everything around in web and digital systems go through this.
