[tantek] what do folks here think of deleting the Loqi [indienews] posts to chat from the chat archive that turn out to be spam (rather than "offtopic") links? see #indieweb for a recent example

[aciccarello] I think removing the spam is generally a good step to reduce the value of spammers targeting the IndieWeb but I'm also sympathetic to the maintenance burden.
#
[aciccarello] *moderation burden
#
[tantek] right, we can decide (1) no deleting, (2) nice to have deleting if folks are able to volunteer, (3) should delete IndieNews spam from chat archive and we need to setup clear set of roles/responsibilities
#
[tantek] aciccarello sounds like you are saying (2)
#
[tantek] similarly spam from indiewebforum. eu to #indieweb-stream

#
aaronpk It would be nice to automate it. Like if deletes from IndieNews would propagate to the chat logs
#
[social] Automating this was my first thought.
