tantek it's not an HTML5 fork, it's HTML5 with a frozen feature-set vs. "HTML living standard" which will keep getting new features as Hixie decides they're worth adding to it.

mkowens tantek: No examples offhand, but I've seen in (and developed myself) plenty of forms in which the user had to select "Country" and it was just the ISO Country Code that was stored and displayed to the user.

mkowens Realistically, "country" could be ISO country code *or* country name, depending on the user's interpretation. Having "country-name" explicitly state "name" clears up that confusion.
