I don't quite understand this backcompat for h-review: "photo - parse as u-photo of the item being reviewed (p-item h-item u-photo)" http://microformats.org/wiki/h-review##parse+as+u-photo

Why the "p-item h-item"?
#
aaronpk
h-review has a property "item" which is an "h-item" object

So it means put the u-photo in the h-item, not just switch out the class "photo" with those three
#

nvm, think I get it now

I'd written a bad test case. In mf1 the class=photo would be a child of the element with class=item
#

so backcompat is effectively making it class="photo u-photo" in that case

gRegorLove: while your are fiddling with backcompat might want to see how mf2py does it. IIRC kylewm spent a lot of time/effort on that

KartikPrabhu: Yeah, I've checked it. It's pretty much the php-mf2 approach
