tanteksknebel gRegorLove ben_thatmustbeme Zegnat since you all have been fairly active here recently, would you like author privs on the microformats.org blog so you can POSSE microformats-related articles from your personal site?
tanteklike literally brainstorm for maybe 15 minutes with what comes to mind, e.g. 1 or more of specific microformats, properties, parser implementations, test suite, parsing spec, site deployments, new user features you got working with microformats
tantekben_thatmustbeme: yes, just write a sentence or two about each of those (maybe 2-4 para total) and I'll happily review and suggest a name for your mini-article :)
ZegnatI think I would like to write a thing to push the fact that microformats are still evolving, not at all static. E.g. h-event adapting h-entry properties so it can be its own “post” or my own work on pronouns. Also, microformats.io might warrant a post, but we may want to hold of on that until it has a few more examples written up?
tanteksknebel - consider what you have made use of with microformats in the past year, e.g. on your site, what use-cases have they enabled / empowered?
ZegnatTo anyone with access: I just pushed a draft for a microformats.io post. 3 paragraphs. I would like to add another one about the hosted versions of the different parsers for testing, but am too tired to get the phrasing right. Feel free to read and edit
Loqiaaronpk: ben_thatmustbeme left you a message 1 week ago: the parsing spec says a.m. and p.m must be case sensative, but the test suite disagrees with that, and actually so do I. I wrote ruby to be case incensative. what is the reasoning there?
ZegnatI’ll see if I can write a more personal note on my relation with microformats too, as more of a guest blog. That’ll have to happen tomorrow then. Good night all!
tantekhowever, you could still cross-post it, like now, with maybe a short extra paragraph at the top providing that explicit context e.g. "I posted this on my own blog ~6 months ago, and I'm reblogging it on microformats.org because in subsequent conversations I've had with people I've learned it has broader applicability." etc. something like that
tantekaaronpk, another option to consider is subsetting your article on the more microformats positive aspects and maybe editing out the critiques of google / schema etc., noting that the full research / details are available on your site for anyone that wants them
tantekin particular if there's folks here who actively use WordPress (GWG? pfefferle? [chrisaldrich] [miklb]) - would be great to get your personal update on microformats improvements / impacts that you've seen or experienced or helped build in the past year
