[tantek] aaronpk I have to admit I probably added those rules without comments because they seemed "simple". Are there guidelines for htaccess comments?

aaronpk i was thinking a sentence explaining what it does, and also providing an example URL to confirm that it works

aaronpk for example, the htaccess rule is `RedirectPermanent /w http://microformats.org/wiki` but it's not clear from looking at that unless you are familiar with htaccess rules that it will actually redirect all paths under `/w` to the corresponding `/wiki` URL, e.g. `/w/vcp` actually redirects to `/wiki/vcp`

aaronpk so when I translated it to nginx, I translated it as just redirect exactly `/w` to `/wiki`

aaronpk a comment like "supports short URLs like ufs.cc/w/vcp" would have made that much clearer as to what it was actually for

aaronpk there's also no references to ufs.cc in there at all, so there was no way to know that domain exists or that it should have been tested in the migration
