[tantek] I agree with the publish UI, but I see it from the subscription side. if I want to follow tantek.com, I want the feed that shows only the articles… no replies, no notes, no status updates… to lower the noise in my feed reader…

currently I am experimenting with rel-alternate headers for different post-format, category, tag, …. feeds
#
[pfefferle]
and my question was: is there a best practice to mark up different post-type feeds, so that it might be easier for feed-readers to differentiate

[pfefferle] I also agree with the subscription or following use cases, and again it may have very little to do with how or what the publishers designates as different kinds of content. It may have to do with frequency as you implied. Or it may have to do with length of content (which again has nothing to do with “type”).

As it doesn’t really relate to microformats syntax or vocabularies, it’s probably better for chatting on #indieweb-dev and we can capture the usecases there also

[tantek]
This is worth discussing and documenting more as what the actual use case / needs are rather than trying to shoehorn post-type-plumbing into an awkward approximation of a solution.

Hah that tweet above is an amazing reply to an arrogant “all frontend devs should know” post, which LOTS of people are tearing apart

[@LabZoneSK] @gethackteam As a FE dev who actually did 4 out of 5 (still struggle to find suitable project for GQL) this is iffy. Where is semantic html, microformats, Accesibility, browser APIs? Why get into DevOps before learning FE craft properly.
