↩️ I remember! But the desktop web was the target of G+, and now mobile (and next, the Metaverse) determines so much functionality/design in these social products. I mean, do microformats make any sense in Discord chats? The data moves so much faster and is much more ephemeral.

↩️ What do you mean by “microformats”? Tweets? It’s true that in a Discord-like world, it’s difficult to avoid ephemerality. I think there’s a lot to be said for going back to “traditional” web, ie. email and actual websites. Disclaimer: I may be getting old.
