[tantek] omz13, not dismissing, just putting it in context. it's not an actual "standard" per se, it's something more along the lines of a proposals like in W3C WICG. And it doesn't take much to register something in IANA link relations which are primarily for HTTP. For HTML link relations <a rel> <link rel> the microformats.org/wiki/rel-values page is the extension registry per the HTML standard.
