#[tantek]omz13, not dismissing, just putting it in context. it's not an actual "standard" per se, it's something more along the lines of a proposals like in W3C WICG. And it doesn't take much to register something in IANA link relations which are primarily for HTTP. For HTML link relations <a rel> <link rel> the microformats.org/wiki/rel-values page is the extension registry per the HTML standard.
#[tantek](which is similarly accessible, and takes less work (editing a wiki page and filling out the rows in a table) than sending an email and waiting for someone to get around to updating IANA's page.
#[tantek]really we should move existing-rel-values to GH to make it even easier for people to create pull requests which can be discussed/merged accordingly and I think that's the plan
