[preview] [Zegnat] #15 Upgrade dependencies (and see if Dependabot will stop emailing me)
#
Zegnat
I tried to tag some people as reviewers who had either been active in the repo / known Python dev. But that was of course just a shot in the dark :)
#
Zegnat
I might go through some more of the dependabot emails the next couple of days. Or not. Very time (and mood) based.

Oh I missed the reviewers. Thanks for the PR!

I'm impressed by how powerful `jq` is. Very useful for precise normalization of complex structures like the output of a Microformats parser.

[aciccarello]1
Wow, that is impressive. Super useful tool.

jkingweb: for what it is worth, I seem to recall that per mf2 spec you cannot have /> on void elements. But I would have to double check.
#
jkingweb
Yeah, technically you're supposed to serialize per the HTML spec so having slashes would be a failure, but at the same time it _is_ trivial, since it parses back into the same thing. Normalizing it this way helps the Elixir parser to pass three tests it wouldn't otherwise pass, which helps to get a better idea of where implementations agree.
#
Zegnat
That matches my recollection. I would definitely consider a parser to pass a test if their output is completely correct except for the />. Though I would then appreciate 1 test that is not normalised so it could still be flagged whether the parser follows spec or not.

BTW I realise I have been away from the community for a while now, and just want to say I love it whenever I have seen you pop up in the GitHub notifications, working away on the test suite!
