aaronpk yes definitely, some people leave a native comment form and also accept webmentions

aaronpk I took it off because the vast majority of things submitted in the comment form were spam, and then when they weren't plain spam, they were often very low quality comments that I didn't feel added any value to my posts

rhiaro !tell AnnB: I'm thinking about adding native comments, but also you could use something like pastebin or gist.github.com to write a reply and send a webmention from that (there's a wm form on my site, but it doesn't work properly yet), and as long as you link to my post in your reply, that will work. Ideally you'd also mark it up with microformats so I could parse out the contents.
