# geppy I'm starting on an ActivityPub client. Are there any tests or compliant servers that I can use?
# ben_thatmustbeme geppy: cwebber is working on a test suite, as for compliant servers, he would likely know as well
# geppy ben_thatmustbeme: Thank you! Should I ping him, or wait? I followed yesterday's discussion and I realize they're in the middle of working out what needs to happen for services to be compliant.
# ben_thatmustbeme since i mentioned his name here, he should see it when he comes back.
# ben_thatmustbeme as to the second half of that, the spec is in CR, candidate recomendation status, which basically is the group saying we think its good, a few things may change but hopefully not, if anything changes that causes you to change your code, we will do a revised CR, that gives people time to implement fixes before it proceeds on to the next steps
# ben_thatmustbeme there is a bunch of process involved in moving specs through their different steps. before we exit CR to move on, we are going to need a test suite and implementation reports based on that test suite, so not to worry, cwebber definitely has motivation to get it done
# geppy Thank you! I meant that more as a "I realize they're working on it, should I leave them be?" :)
# ben_thatmustbeme well, certainly any implementation feedback is welcome. Thats what the CR stage is for really
# geppy Ah, right. Thanks! :)

# geppy aaronpk: Thanks! I'm familiar with the process, I just wasn't thinking properly.
# cwebber hi geppy, yes feel free to implement ahead, and I'll have the test suite out shortly
# cwebber geppy: super excited that you're working on a client! what kind?
# geppy cwebber: Shiny, thanks! I'm not entirely sure. I'd originally designed a Social Web app based around Web Annotations, but I didn't get around to it until now ... so I'm wondering if it might be more useful for me to just focus on AS+AP since AP'll still be in CR.
# geppy csarven: Not yet!

# ben_thatmustbeme ajordan: its not an automated process, i believe the chairs have to approve it in a meeting first

# ben_thatmustbeme that i do not know, tantek?
# ben_thatmustbeme than IE status won't change much for you

# tantek btw the WG only has ~2 months left in the charter, and at this point, it's nearly all procedural with very few technical discussions, so you may find the telcons quite boring / tedious from that perspective (saying this as a chair who tries to make them not that way but acknowledging the obvious)

# @csarven @bradlygreen @CarbonLDP Yes. @CarbonLDP is a conforming #LinkedData Notifications https://www.w3.org/TR/ldn/ implementation (out of the box!) (twitter.com/_/status/852206938511245313)
# ajordan tantek: yes there is - if you visit https://www.w3.org/community/swicg/ and look under "Tools for this group"

# ben_thatmustbeme sandro, wonder if those were the first 6 to join before we turned off mailing list for the CG
# ben_thatmustbeme i believe it was requested
# ben_thatmustbeme aaronpk?
# ajordan another question: is there a reason that the AS2 extensions is at https://www.w3.org/wiki/Activity_Streams_extensions instead of under the /Socialwg namespace on the wiki?
# ajordan thinking of creating /Socialwg/ActivityPub_extensions but wondering if there's a reason to do the same as the AS2 page

# cwebber ah
# cwebber yeah, the what to do for distributed filtering is a research area :)
# cwebber but!
# cwebber I don't know if I said it
# cwebber but this came up at libreplanet a lot
# cwebber in fact a couple of times in the Q&A at ajordan's talk, but also elsewhere
# cwebber oh
# cwebber right the p2p stuff
# cwebber didn't even look at the link you posted oops
# cwebber https://dustycloud.org/blog/possible-distributed-anti-abuse/ is the one I thought you posted
