aaronpk: rowan: we talked about making it more question and answer to confirm behavior, that's what I'm trying to do presently; if you have suggestions to make adjustments to the questions, happy to hear them
#
aaronpk
Ok so it really is just an interactive questionnaire right now?
#
cwebber
for s2s and the client, not for c2s server
#
cwebber
the c2s server logs in and runs tests by probably more what you expect
#
cwebber
but yes s2s and c2s client are mostly a questionaire (but which asks you to try specific things); we agreed on a recent call this was good enough if we can demonstrate interop between implementations
#
aaronpk
Ok just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. There's been some confusion in the indieweb channels about how to actually test an implementation
#
cwebber
best route currently: go through the automated tests + Q&A to make sure you have everything in theory, and then test your server against an existing implementation and make sure things work in practice
#
cwebber
I'm still interested in getting in more automated tests, but this is what we agreed to in the group to hit the deadline
#
aaronpk
This is a server implementation only, and isn't for use by clients

[ajordan] aaronpk: Bridgy Fed? Or other impls?
#
cwebber
I think testing against Kroeg and Mastodon are good choices
#
aaronpk
yea bridgy
#
cwebber
if it works against both of those I think you're in good shape

xmpp-social
[ajordan] Gotcha

cwebber2: tbh, my preference would've been adding Public into the AS spec then defining the canonical ID to be `Public`
#
rhiaro
puckipedia: since AP terms are in the as namespace, it actually works like that
#
rhiaro
aside: Public got missed from the list of extension terms *actually* in the ns, but I just added it. My bad
#

I update Kroeg to every new AS2 document version, so I guess I have to wait a little still :P

is the AS2 versioning something sandro is taking care of? I totally didn't realise that was a thing
#
cwebber2
rhiaro: yes sandro has so far

cwebber2: and of course now I'm actually using versioned AS2 contexts :P
