#Chocobozzzhi :) Just for info, is there a way to share an account between two different platform? For example, a video platform that uses a Mastodon account? One identity for different platforms for example
#xmpp-social[ajordan] Like a "sign in with Mastodon" type thing?
#Chocobozzzajordan: yes, something like oauth2 but with this protocol we just login with another account, we loss our followers/following, private/public key no?
#xmpp-social[ajordan] 1. That's not always a feature - I might want to e.g. follow your status updates but not your videos, etc. Having two accounts isn't always a good thing; I think having something that's part of the profile ("related accounts" or whatever) might often solve this better
#xmpp-social[ajordan] 2. I definitely can see a use for that. I guess in that case you'd just use the C2S API? Not totally sure
#xmpp-social[ajordan] Can't think about it extensively, I'm late for math class at the moment :P
#Chocobozzz1. You're right, having the same followers don't make sense
#Chocobozzz2. I think proving we are the same person on different platforms would be very interesting. People could see easily know that Chocobozzz that shares toots on mastodon, is the same Chocobozzz that uploads videos on mediagoblin for example. But I think you got my point :)

#erincandescentIf the server implements the C2S API (Mastodon sadly doesn't) you'd just post your Create activities (etc) to the user's home server
#erincandescentIf you do {type: Create, object: {id: https://videoserver.example.com/...}} then the user's home server _should_ obey the ID you specified and reference the remote object (but note that it will have to mint a new ID for the activity, so the user's home server needs to "own" those)
#puck1pediaI /think/ that Kroeg does this properly, but there's not a lot of testing material for this though
