[tantek] [manton]++ indeed it seems like something that should have been built on top of rel=author instead, and perhaps something we can still do if we take time to understand the full extent of the use-case that Mastodon is trying to solve (beyond the journalist subset of audience). I think we discussed it in #indieweb-dev a while ago, and perhaps we can iterate on that topic some more there
