# [jgmac1106] @gwg just tested. Selected a note but added a photo. That made it a photo post kind. Checked in Wordpress and the correct post kind is now publishing. Can't hand;e portrait photos but I haven't checked to see if somebody already created an issue

# [jgmac1106] I shot a photo vertically. It gets rotated

# [jgmac1106] Looking at what [chrisaldrich] does all I need to to do is not publish the "post" page and then just make a new page and create links to different feeds, that seems eaier than trying to figure out how just to publish post kind "article"

# [jgmac1106] Thx [miklb] debating whether to just surface articles or make a menu of feeds. Kinda still leaning on using Known sites for my status update like posts but should give the whole WP thing the college try
# [jgmac1106] @gwg just playing now. In essence what I want is to discover what I want. Originally I was playing with the idea of not changing anything and just creating a filter so only post kind article publishes on the post page. I was never successful I went lookin at Chris's source code and its nothing fancy at all. List items, icons, and a bunch of rss feeds. Very doable. Probably going to throw up a page
# [jgmac1106] [miklb] that wasn't my issue I am trying to ONLY have articles post to that page. I read up queries. Those looked easy to write. Will try it myself before asking for a hand [miklb] (usually doesn't take long). Today I am making a survey for a client . They never understand what it truly takes. The content validity, the factor analysis, etc. They just say, "make items" and skip all the steps. Might as well make a website that generates
# [jgmac1106] and conclusions for them. May get back to indieweb playing tonight

# [pfefferle] GWG where can I find the script?
# [pfefferle] regarding the translations: no problem... I got some feedback from a german core translator the other day, to simplify the plugin a bit
# [pfefferle] does it work?
# [pfefferle] nice! will try it myself!
# [pfefferle] ok, nice
# [pfefferle] !
# [pfefferle] perhaps we can start an indieweb-wordpress-plugin-boilerplate repo

# [pfefferle] 😉
# [pfefferle] cool
# [pfefferle] what about GDPR?
# [pfefferle] we should add filters, so that we import only stuff that is used by an other plugin
# [pfefferle] like for example geo data
# [pfefferle] so that you can enable it with simple locations
# [pfefferle] thanks Loqi
# [pfefferle] and yes, we should suppot the data-privacy features, that WordPress implements
# [pfefferle] perhaps we should/must write some exporters or features to delete comments
# [pfefferle] sure
# [pfefferle] good point
# [pfefferle] I fear that brid.gy is no longer possible for EU citizens after GDPR starts
# [pfefferle] 👍
# [pfefferle] I think the data is not the main problem... brid.gy is copying data from Social networks without telling the users.
# [pfefferle] That is crucial

# [snarfed] yup. actually a bigger question than GDPR or bridgy. https://indieweb.org/backfeed#Storage.2C_legal.2C_data_ownership.2C_UX...
