[tonz] yeah, I wrote a bit about the problem of concentration of users on a few instances, when Eugen blogged about Mastodon being successful/sustainable after 2 years. I disagree: there’s no longtail, 77% are on less than 1% of instances with Mastodon, and it needs that to be truly federated.
