[tantek][chrisaldrich] re: "no one has gone with a straight WP.com account to bother with testing it out." - I have a colleague who came to IWC SF 2018 who *is* testing it out (she upgraded her WP.com account to install custom plugins) and so yes we do have someone trying to make it work
