[asuh] I understand the frustration of WordPress’ direction and disdain for Gutenberg. I haven’t given it a fair chance as an end-user and have yet to really examine it for development purposes. That said, with >30% of the internet running WordPress, I think it’d be a mistake to completely shift gears away from the platform. GWG [asuh]: I don't hate the idea of Gutenberg. I have issues with the methodology and implementation, and how it was worked on to the exclusion of everything else

[asuh] I’m learning React and getting further into modern JS to help me understand better what Gutenberg is so I can have a more informed opinion. I’m keeping faith that we’ll see good iterations of Gutenberg to fix people’s frustrations

[asuh] Looks good! Now that it’s not a sprite, uBlock Origin is effectively blocking the icons since they’re named after the social media sites. The sprite was previously showing everything since it more obfuscated.

[asuh] yes, I purposely have strict blocking so that I can whitelist things that are okay to me

Zegnat GWG re Adblockers blocking icons, this is a relatively common issue. Some block lists use extremely liberal path matching, or just straight up block $platformName.png. See https://gitlab.com/prism-break/prism-break/issues/1965
