Oof, that was a disaster... was testing out if I could post an embedded video using the video post kind and the end result was not what I expected.

Basically at the stage where I'm figuring out which post kinds work and which don't

morning GWG! does the micropub plugin not support q=syndicate-to? I'm getting invalid_request: unknown query
#
GWG
[schmarty]: It does, if you activate the Syndication Links provider section.
#
GWG
Otherwise, Micropub has nothing to offer
#
[snarfed]
I have the synd links plugin installed and a couple providers enabled
#
GWG
Odd, because I have the same thing, and I just repolled with Quill and it seemed to work. Wonder what's going on.
#
[snarfed]
looks like I have the latest versions, micropub 2.3.2, synd links 4.4.2
#
[snarfed]
q=config also doesn't say anything about syndication
#
GWG
Very odd.
#
GWG
You are the first person I've heard reporting this.
#
GWG
Maybe I should try a clean site setup test
#
[snarfed]
maybe finish fixing the Bridgy Fed synd links crashes first? I suspect that
#
GWG
[snarfed]: I meant to ask.. what does a Bridgy Fed Webmention return in the location header?
#
GWG
Either way, fixing the error handling would next for me. That should surface some other unanticipated issues.
#
GWG
I have the error log stored in a property, I intend to display it in the editor.
#
[snarfed]
GWG BF doesn't return anything in the location header
#
GWG
Okay. then that is what I need to address, rather than special casing Bridgy fed, I suppose.
#
[snarfed]
there's no final syndication URL for BF. you'll want to just leave it as the original URL you used, eg https://fed.brid.gy/user/snarfed.org
#
GWG
[snarfed]: In the, how to post section there, it says nothing about fed.brid.gy/user...it only says link to fed.brid.gy. Tha't's why that has been showing up, but I can fix that.
#
GWG
How would it derive the user URL, other than me generating it?
#
[snarfed]
yeah those docs are for how to send a wm, but not necessarily what the best synd link is
#
[snarfed]
you'd generate the user URL. https://fed.brid.gy/user/[domain]
#
[snarfed]
(and strip leading www. from the domain, if any)
#
GWG
[snarfed]: I'll see about some tweaks for that, but handling the returned error should be simple enough to start.
