[Michelle_Moore]Hello @gregL[m] I use WordPress and have installed all of the IndieWeb plugins but removed Post Kinds and Microformats 2 since they needed the classic editor. I use a full site editing theme, Twenty Twenty Three. I don’t want to use the Classic Editor, but notice when I use any micropub editing tool that the results is a classic editor block. When I set out on this journey in the IndieWeb which I only discovered near
[Michelle_Moore]11/10, these were the *constraints*: I wanted to always be on the latest version of WordPress, I want to use the default theme, I want to use blocks, and I don’t want to use the classic editor. I wanted to implement as mostly a “regular” user. The people that have answered you thus far have answered a LOT of my questions and I thank them for it! *Current issues:* I am seeing if webmentions work all of the time,
[Michelle_Moore]sometimes they don’t seem like they are and I am trying to troubleshoot. Mastodon.social won’t support something so that Brid.gy can authenticate, so I am using a plugin to syndicate to Mastodon. Custom Post types didn’t act consistently. *Current Decisions:* I am deciding whether to keep things like RSVPs, checkins, and things like notes as regular posts or custom post types. *Other*: I created a block using the
[Michelle_Moore]WordPress Learn tutorial 1 of 4. [pfefferle] blocks will be a piece of cake for you. This is not my strong suit so I have been experimenting with how to add classes to the blocks, especially the groups (divs) and other elements so that the microformat validators confirm they are working. *Federation*: I did federate my site using BridgyFed and then the ActivityPub plugins. I turned them off because I don’t see a way t
GregL[m]I finally got my site to send out tweets when I post, connected to Bridgy via Micropub, but haven't gotten any responses back to check if that side of things are working yet. Webmentions do work for me, as I tested that via IndieWebify.me... Next project is to test if the ActivityPub plugin will work for me.
[Michelle_Moore][pfefferle] No I hadn’t seen that! I will try it again! Now, I might be asking a lot to be able to see all of this in the Mastodon mobile app right? (One step at a time right?) :-)

GregL[m]I had ran a previous experiment and was able to read d a post from my site on Mastodon, but if I understand the way both the ActivityPub and Friends plugins work, you basically become your own instance of sortss
[TMichelleMoore]Hello [pfefferle] - Regarding the ActivityPub plugin - I tested a custom post type which I enabled in the ActivityPub settings. 1 - Using my blocks with classes that mostly seems like it works with the IndieWebify.Me validator and 2 - A pure html checkin that I copied the template from on the IndieWeb site. (That one didn’t seem to validate properly.) Results: #1 didn’t publish to Mastodon. #2 published to Mastodo
[TMichelleMoore][pfefferle] Update on my first question - I tried #1 again and it worked. But I would still be interested in the answer on that one. Thank you!!

[Tim_Nolte]Anyone know if it's possible to use the FediLab client to connect to a WordPress site that has ActivityPub & IndieAuth setup? I know the Indigenous app does but FediLab squawks about an invalid Client ID.
blindnerdAnd the combo of the native Press This/Indie Press plugin makes it easy to publish short posts showing off what I've read. Now all I need is someone on Twitter to respond to confirm webmentions are working bia that route, and I'll consider that itch throughly scratched
