[lcs] I’ve been inspired by https://herman.bearblog.dev/how-bear-does-analytics-with-css/ to try and create my own super simple analytics plugin relying only on a line of CSS. Been using Matomo and it’s a huuuuuge overkill (plus it places a cookie, too, which I want to avoid)
# [lcs] It’s a fun challenge, and fairly simple to do despite my fairly limited coding skills (mainly thanks to Chat GPT 😂)
# [lcs] I’m now seeing data in the admin panel!
# [lcs] Hit a stumbling block in trying to fetch the referrer without relying on browser executed JS, so will have to work on that one a bit, though. And need to add some libraries to get some user agent data and some rudimentary geo-data (based on IP)
