I've updated ClassicPress to 2.0 for my podcast site and I'm working locally with a new theme that knows nothing about IndieWeb. trying to decide whether I should leave indiewebification until it is live in production when I can easily use parsers etc.

Indeed. No discernable difference to the live site, while I play with a new theme.

Is the pitch for ClassicPress essentially just "WordPress without Gutenberg/blocks"?

Things that wouldn't be worked on in WordPress core

[Joe_Crawford]: I'd have to run at least a test version of WordPress if I did. Plugin development and all.

Iā€™m still a little worried about the longevity of CP but I support it myself and hope others will too. I just cannot think of a need for blocks.
