#[lcs]I'm also intrigued by the concept of ClassicPress. But I've grown very comfortable working with blocks, so I think maybe it'd feel like a step back. (Maybe because I was already quite familiar with it through Optmizely nee Episerver)

#jeremycherfasI'm sure if you like and need and use blocks, then WP is fine, but I never got comfortable and they didn't solve any problems for me. I was using the classic editor, so the switch to CP made total sense.

#[lcs]Need is very subjective 😅 But it's just very convenient to manage templates and basically any piece of content that's reused with blocks, once you get used to the work flow. But I wouldn't say I ever missed blocks when I was working with pre-Gutenberg WP.

#GWGI just don't see the need for the complexity of block building when you are doing a simple blog
#[snarfed]complexity for authoring? or developing, eg plugins?
#[snarfed]I maybe get that it's more complex for developers, maybe, but it doesn't seem any more complex for writing a simple blog post, right? the block editor lets you just type, without doing anything extra, just like the classic editor...?
#GWGI also need to look at Jan's Micropub to Block code
