[snarfed] you can use any web server or service you want for an IndieWeb site. if you choose to use WordPress, and you want webmentions, we definitely recommend the Wordpress plugin, which yes, uses WP comments since they're mature and well supported, but you're welcome to build your own alternative plugin that doesn't use them

Zic I'm just talking about my observations about WordPress comments. Why did I focus on WordPress comments? I use WordPress and it's great. I perceive the built-in comment system differently
