Okay...adding a PHPUnit testing file against ClassicPress in addition to WordPress through GitHub Actions.
#
GWG
That should be enough

[pfefferle]: What would you think about running the GitHub actions unit tests against ClassicPress as well as WordPress.... that's pretty much the equivalent of checking against 6.2 and 6.7
#
GWG
[pfefferle]: I've decided to support both and am considering using ClassicPress on some sites.
#
ben
i tried classicpress for a test site and i already missed the block editor :<
#
GWG
ben: I never would miss something I never use. But I understand people like it
#
ben
ah that's probably the thing for you then
#
ben
i've grown to like the full site editor too
#
GWG
But I support WordPress users with Indieweb plugins so I have to test compatibility with both
#
GWG
I just wonder if there is a compromise on that
#
ben
true, hard to say
#
GWG
I want to give blocky people what they want
#
GWG
But I don't feel motivation to write JavaScript code for it
#
GWG
So, maybe someone will volunteer to handle that part

The Classic Editor plugin enables users to choose classic vs block for every post if you enable that with "Allow users to switch editors" under Writing Settings. I'm still sort of stuck because of mountains of legacy content but it's let me play a bit.

[Joe_Crawford]: I just don't see the advantage for me, which is fine.. but I still want to contribute to others, thus the dilemma
