[dshanske] we have a vulnerability in the indieweb plugin... wordfence contacted me, but they have a really bulky login/verification method, so I would love to have the pr live (it implements a lot of escaping).

no pressure 😉

[pfefferle]: Webmentions no longer auto-updates on ClassicPress because the version bumped to 6.3 and ClassicPress is based on 6.2. I'm going to look for a way to declare support, as I tested it on ClassicPress 2.6.0
#
GWG
According to their FAQ, easiest way is...
#
GWG
Plugins and themes should be tagged ‘ClassicPress’ to allow users to easily find them when searching on the WordPress.org site or repositories via the ClassicPress admin panel.
#
GWG
A number of plugins have already been tagged as compatible with ClassicPress and can easily be found in the WordPress Plugin Repository.

[pfefferle]: Is there a reason why we can't stick to 6.2 as minimum? Did something get added in 6.3?

I think it was because of the php update!?
#
[pfefferle]
or maybe because of the react libs... I can't remembe
#
[pfefferle]
can we maybe change the icons lib on the indieweb plugin... it gets way to big!
#
[pfefferle]
btw. I think it is not 6.2 but 4.9!
#
[pfefferle]
> If in doubt, give preference to a ClassicPress Directory Plugin, or one that is specifically tagged as such in the WordPress Repository. Do _not_ install and use Plugins from WordPress that are requiring WordPress versions higher than 4.9, because you will A) not receive updates for them, and B) they might break your site.
#
[pfefferle]
that is insane! WordPress 4.9 is almost 9 years old!!!
#
[pfefferle]
never mind... even if this document is quite up to date, there seem to be different numbers around... https://docs.classicpress.net/user-guides/using-classicpress/managing-plugins/
#
[pfefferle]
sure, let's downgrade to 6.2 if that is possible
#
GWG
[pfefferle]: It was 4.9, they rebased to 6.2

As for the icon set, I agree with you fully it's gotten a lot bigger than originally. I have not yet come up with a solution that doesn't require us to curate a list or the users to do manual work... ideas?

[pfefferle]: Also ActivityPub is no longer quite ClassicPress compatible. Makes me wonder if I should look for another solution there
