what about checking why and filing a PR to make it compatible again!?
#
[pfefferle]
I think this is a general problem ClassicPress needs to handle if they want to be compatible with WordPress for the long term!?
#
[pfefferle]
I think all of the plugins started as WordPress plugins and it would be sad if we couldn't make use of new features, only because ClassicPress is not keeping up!?
#
[pfefferle]
That said, let's keep them compatible for as long as possible and I would love if you could check why the AP plugin might not work and how we can fix it. We already have all of the Settings also for the classic editor, but I am not sure what else needs to be done.

[pfefferle]: I'm analyzing it. It looks like some requirements have to be optionally loaded
#
[pfefferle]
there is already a function to maybe improve for that: site_supports_blocks
#
[pfefferle]
it is also possible to add a classic-press intrgration

I'll see what I can figure out

[pfefferle]: When I picked it, this was that.... but let me look. I think it might take some thought.

I use the same system in Syndication Links, so there might be a consolidation opportunity
