#aaronpkbut I don't have many channels that happens in
#pdurbinaaronpk: exactly. in the common case here on freenode, ChanServ is sitting in a channel all the time and when the founder joined and gets auto-op'ed, I see what I'm calling the MODE noise
#pdurbinaaronpk: I'm not sure I understand your hilight problem
#aaronpki have a highlight set on "aaronpk" of course. but there are specific channels (buffers) that I don't want that highlight to exist on
#pdurbinoh. ok. I'm just using whatever the default is. my nick gets hilighted
#aaronpkyea, I don't want it to be hilighted in a specific channel. it's my log debugging channel for geoloqi
#aaronpkso any time something happens on my geoloqi account I get highlighted and then weechat also sends me a push notification :) so it gets a bit chatty
#pdurbinyeah, I'm all about reducing distractions from IRC
#pdurbinI had this down pretty well in irssi. but man I like the input bar that grows with weechat
#aaronpkat this point it's pretty much my primary communications channel and "command center", so I do actually want to know if someone is trying to get a hold of me here
#pdurbinI mean, I might be interested in some kind of "next generation" IRC. a new RFC or something. but it's good enough for now. and better than many alternatives
#pdurbinhmm, it's worse that I thought. I also get noise in channels where ChanServ auto-voices anyone who enters :(
josephboyle and scor joined the channel
#pdurbinah ha! I think I found the answer at http://inhies.com/weechat_my_new_favorite_irc_client/ (which is currently down but it's in Google's cache) ... /set weechat.look.buffer_notify_default message ... this changes it from the default of "all" to "message" so I don't see when people join but I'm notified if someone starts talking. \o/
catsup, bret, erikmaarten and grawity joined the channel
#grawitySo I'm trying to make a small edit to http://indiewebcamp.com/IRC but the website doesn't let me log in – keeps saying "You have not specified a valid username." Thoughts?
#pdurbingrawity: the wiki login should say "Sign in with your domain"
