#aralWe’re currently thinking 7th-9th and I’ve actually got those dates tentatively booked with the venue but need to confirm them before we can announce
#tommorrisalas, I shall be in New York at the time
#aralAnd I really need to write a little something about how the goal of Prometheus really is to realise indieweb/indie data/‘indie self’ for the mainstream. To make it not just a seamless experience but, hopefully, a lovely one :)
#aral(The whole reason for doing it is so that people — mere mortals — can own their own data.) :)
#aralTom, I’d just add a bit more line spacing. Otherwise the measure is good. It’s legible and readable. Anything further will either be self-expression/emotion (nothing wrong with that) or ornamentation (yuk!) :)
#barnabywalterstommorris: I made a fairly extensive web typography reading list a week or so ago in an attempt to improve my typographical skills, I’ll try to dig it out and publish it
#aral(There is more info in the linked to blog post at the bottom of the page, though)
#tommorrisWhen they start making iPhones and Samsung Galaxy's with two weeks of battery life and which work with cheap SIM cards you can buy in every country in the world, SMS will stop being useful.
#barnabywalterstommorris: hm, not sure my site counts as a bespoke suit. more like some upcycled bits and pieces thrown together and glowing with *ahem* ”rustic charm” :)
#f-a(I am thinking of adding comments via some php or js, but I suck at/despise js)
#neuro`tommorris: I wish the jeans were not full of security holes (and made of PHP)
#barnabywaltersf-a: nice! would be great to see some microformats2 in there
#f-abarnabywalters: I got to know indiewebcamp via some status.net friends and it got me interested in microformats!
#f-aSo I am reading about them and hopefully will add them in the immediate future, as theey don't look that difficult to implement!
#barnabywaltersf-a: oh cool! we’ve been working on improving the documentation a lot recently and want to do even better, so don’t hesitate to ping me about any issues
#tommorrisbarnabywalters: I think Twilio aren't bothering with MMS because... it sort of never really took off. most people who want to upload a photo or video will do it via HTTP rather than via MMS
#tommorristhere are other providers who do MMS. Mogreet do it. The reason I'm using Twilio is because I've got $30 of Twilio credit from a Twilio evangelist.
