tantekin other news, engaging in a bit of semi-socratic dialog with elf in irc://irc.w3.org/social regarding microformats (and indieweb's) pragmatic research + use-case documentation based approach to standards development
Loqikylewm: tantek left you a message 21 minutes ago: I get "target page does not exist" when sending webmentions to Known install on https://michielbdejong.com/ e.g. from http://tantek.com/2015/017/f1 - any idea how to debug? or help Michiel debug?
tantekGWG, I tried to help with a few minor improvements to the Getting Started on WordPress page, please take a look and see if looks good to you, and feel free to change/fix as you see fit.

milletteyes, so only the domain matter, not _where_ it's hosted. I was looking for a clarification, thanks. I have been away from indie and federated web for too long.

GWGKevinMarks_: I think you are right with what you said yesterday...Indiewebify.me needs a Getting Started on my Platform link. I should file an issue
Phyksin case anyone using Known might be interested, I am writing a plugin to crosspost to Diaspora (status updates and bookmarks working atm) : https://github.com/Phyks/knowndiaspora
Phykssnarfed: I would be interested in backfeed as well, and came across Bridgy, but as Diaspora does not offer any API, I guess this is a dead end ? ^
tantekGWG - it's a good lifestyle. POSSE updates are challenging though and doing it manually is harder than just updating a community resource in the first place.
snarfedPhyks: me neither. if you use diaspora, you're already ahead of me. dive in and check it out? i'm not too worried about "correct;" i'd happily merge anything that works
Phykssnarfed: ok, I'll try to hang out on IRC and see if they have more infos on this. FWIW, my direct posting mechanism is done in a really ugly way (basically emulating the behaviour of the user, as there seems to be no other way round)
tantekPhyks, I'm not familiar with the details, all I know is I've heard many times from both Diaspora and OStatus advocates that Diaspora "supports" OStatus. Though OStatus is big (as are the things in it) and I don't know how much of that is actually supported.
tantek!tell voxpelli do you have an ETA for deploying and updated webmention appspot? I keep refreshing http://www.kevinmarks.com/we-like-indieweb-software.html to see if my mention link has been fixed - or do I need to resend the webmention for it to get fixed?
voxpellitantek: I had hoped to push it live today, but needed extra work in implementing the update mechanism. Will try pushing a new version before Wednesday

Phyks« 23:51:11 flaburgan | Phyks, btw, using the bookmarklet is imo the best way to post on diaspora* » hmmm… looks like we are not heading to the right direction…
tantekGWG - part of the point of putting it on the wiki is that it's a ready-made place to encourage others to help you out with your to do lists, itches etc. by editing, linking, and making suggestions.
GWGtantek: One of the things I want to do is start keeping updated copies of plugins in the WordPress.org repository. Having people have to go to Github, or even the Indieweb installer adds a step that newbies have issues with
GWGI think part of the problem is that it is a pain to go from developing on Github to revisions using SVN. I think some people have scripted it though.
Phyksthe only info about an API I have so far is the pull request on Github, and it cannot be used as is due to the fact that it won't be installed on many pods
tantekI've been going through the wiki pages that Kevin's "We Like IndieWeb Software" and trying to shore them up a bit, or at least re-assess from the perspective of someone first learning about the IndieWeb - feedback appreciated!
tantekGWG, even for you, since you say you find yourself often distracted, I'm interested in how much this page makes sense for you and to you: http://indiewebcamp.com/itches
tantekPhyks, if you have a moment, since you have a shorter User: page, take a look at http://indiewebcamp.com/itches and see if it makes sense to you.
LoqiKartikPrabhu: kylewm left you a message 6 hours, 49 minutes ago: I'm thinking about trying to split this up into three separate PR's, would that be OK with you? https://github.com/tommorris/mf2py/pull/19
