Zegnat KartikPrabhu: does SSLMate work when it is running locally and you have to submit the certs to your shared hosting by hand? I looked at it but it sounded like they wanted SSLMate to run on the server itself.

KartikPrabhu Zegnat: the way I did it was to install and run their Perl script on my shared hosting server. After an email confirmation the script generated and downloaded the certs directly on my server. Then because of the way webfaction.com works I had to open a support ticket and within half hour it was up and running

KevinMarks I did a Physics degree, so the coding there was very practical - FORTRAN, z80 assembler, etc

nedorito I'm mostly just interested in the material but as a bonus it might help with looking for work down the road
