Zegnat rel-canonical would only be right if you consider the Instagram URL canonical for your post though. I think most IndieWeb sites treat their PESOS copy as the new canonical one.

Zegnat If you feel the Instagram hosted image is thr canonical entry of that photo on the web, a repost might be more accurate than a new photo note.
