ChrisAldrich Yes, they've got computers that can broadcast for us if necessary. The do a fair amount of teleconferencing as a business function.

ChrisAldrich GWG: What's front and center for you most recently?

GWG The work on Webmentions. It made them better, but didn't add any functionality. It was mostly because I wanted to onboard more WordPress users. And the plugin was designed pre specification.

ChrisAldrich I keep promising myself I'm going to spend some time doing a few indieweb forward themes for WP so there are a couple more options.

GWG I also have been doing some Core WordPress things.

GWG And some minor rewrites on other plugins.

GWG Also, I agreed not to add any more functionality to the Indieweb plugin unless another contributor signs off on it. I turned on the review commit option on Github.

ChrisAldrich I also heard that WP's started on a 2017 theme and keep meaning to track it down to push it on the microformats front.

ChrisAldrich AngeloGladding: I've been putting some details together on microformats and classes for theming vs. semantic markup. Too many people don't know about/discern the difference and it causes problems occasionally.

ChrisAldrich GWG: yes Post Kinds is pretty cool and packs a lot of detail into a nice easy to use UI

GWG ChrisAldrich: The Simple Location tweak is that the box to fill in extra details is a pop up window.

ChrisAldrich I keep meaning to dig into some of the styling for Post Kinds and do a few PRs on some issues I filed ages ago.

ChrisAldrich GWG: I've been playing around with https://wordpress.org/plugins/academic-bloggers-toolkit/ lately for including references to posts. It goes overboard on adding a modal box for entering information if you want to check out the interface. It might be overkill given what you're thinking about.

ChrisAldrich Academic bloggers toolkit actually has a pinnable admin box which I thought was pretty cool, though I don't think you'd need/want it for simple location. I don't think I'd seen anything like that in WordPress before.

ChrisAldrich His modal for inputting data was pretty slick though including doing searches from external databases which might be useful in simple locations.
