snarfed KartikPrabhu: polling may not be bad for you as a small indie site, or single-user reader, but it can definitely be bad (or at least a challenge) for big publishers and big shared reader services (and other apps)

KartikPrabhu yeah, my argument was that with PuSH the hub has to send "fat pings" or your subscribers will fetch your post almost simultaneously; whereas with polling it is more likely to be randomly timed

snarfed but you need a stream per user, and twitter doesn't really support that over ~100 users
