aaronpktho it's somewhat disappointing to see him take so much of the "we are all cyborgs" idea and run with it without crediting Amber Case where he got it from
martymcguire[m]i added support for media fragment offsets and tag aggregation to my site, so a couple of steps closer to being able to quickly build podcasts with indieweb features
LoqiModeration is the process of holding comments for review by a human, and sometimes a source of frustration when a comment is written on another site that the commenter has no control over https://indieweb.org/moderation
[chrisaldrich]aaronpk, I syndicated that podcast note to news.indieweb as a bookmark and it went through, but didn't show up with attribution for my site as the bookmarkee... did something on the receiving end change, or have I marked up my post improperly somehow?
[chrisaldrich]I moderate comments (in part because of of an emoji bug I haven't been able to track down, and so the incoming webmention didn't have your name, so when I changed it manually my fat finger screwed it up); It's definitely not something being pulled improperly from your side. ?
[chrisaldrich]It would appear to be, but it didn't appear until I just submitted it, and it's got the title of my bookmarked post (indcluding the headphones emoji and the (audio edition!) portion, which his post didn't have.
aaronpk[kevinmarks]: yeah it has at least one style variation, and for some reason ™ falls into the emoji character range as well. if you add the style selector to it it looks like ™
aaronpkGWG: i ended up using a couple words, and have feeds with the various combinations of them. Transport covers walks/runs/flights/train/etc. Travel is flights/trains outside of portland/events outside of portland. Events includes events and RSVPs.
[chrisaldrich]how much detail is on the author tab? I'd suggest being careful with adding too many tabs as it becomes a chore to check through them all. But having separate one for the author isn't bad as the "citation" tab did have a lot of data in it.
[chrisaldrich]GWG all those ideas might also fit under the superheading of Calendar as that's where most of them would be stored in the analog world (especially from a planning stand point), but somehow it seems somewhat foreign to me at the same time for a web-based interface
[chrisaldrich]GWG, I think the trickier issue is watching the date/time (start/stop & created/updated) fields and what they mean for individual post types as well as how they're displayed.
[chrisaldrich]GWG, I hadn't filed it (yet), but I also noticed that when including an author photo, it shows up well as a sparkline type element and is done well in the "title" block on individual pages, but at times on archive pages or especially in RSS copies, the image is often shown at full size and breaks the flow of the title line.
[chrisaldrich]For watches, it could be interesting to have metadata fields for Studio/Network/Distributor as well season and episode number and possibly an original air date (especially to better differentiate television episodes). I occasionally throw this data into other fields knowing in advance how they'll display: eg: http://boffosocko.com/2017/02/17/the-late-show-with-stephen-colbert-sally-field-s2-e96/; I'm not sure how readily available services li
[chrisaldrich]GWG, for the read type, having physical media types could be interesting (book, magazine, journal, etc. or just a field for manual entry of type) as well as fields for page number X of total Y pages and/or % of total done (to cover ebooks which don't have page numbers).
[chrisaldrich]If you've got most of the basics for books, doing POSSE to services like Goodreads in the future would be easier as some of that is the needed data.
[chrisaldrich]dgold, I'm not sure why repost wouldn't work. Is it not pulling the data from the source (like Twitter properly?) I notice that when I do a straight share and include a twitter URL, mine displays a nice Twitter card, but when it I do a repost of a tweet, I get an (uglier) blockquote like this: http://stream.boffosocko.com/2017/repost-of-aram-zucker-scharffs-tweet-c092c970cb
[chrisaldrich]I know someone the other day in chat mentioned that some of their issue was dependent on the order they enabled plugins, though that seemed odd to me.
[chrisaldrich]I recall that the KnownReactions plugin had some dependencies for fetching content as well as barnabywalters' mf2 code. If I recall they should be embedded in the repository directly, but you may want to doublecheck that they downloaded and got uploaded onto your server properly.
[chrisaldrich]As I recall, the IndieSyndicate plugin was somewhat similar, but that repository has a link to the external repositories, but doesn't have them built in to automatically download (depending on how you're installing).
[chrisaldrich]dgold, I've got to run out in a few minutes, but I've been meaning to set up a new Known site for a friend in the next day or so, I'll start fresh and see if I run across your same problem.
[chrisaldrich]I do know there have been some small changes and tweaks to the plugin since the version I installed, so perhaps mine is working because I haven't updated... I'll test that later too.
LoqigRegorLove: tantek left you a message 1 day, 17 hours ago: hey! [katiejohnsonsf] expressed interest in an upcoming HWC Bellingham, perhaps ping her with any timing details etc.
gRegorLoveHm, Tried to webmention a like to David Peach's link there ^ and got "Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you've already said that!" Have you run into that with WordPress webmention before GWG?
