#LoqiA reply (or comment) is a kind of post that is a text (typically, though photos are possible too) response to some other post, that makes little or no sense without reading or at least knowing the context of the source post https://indieweb.org/reply
#Loqi[Aaron Parecki] @bradryanbice Congrats on tweeting from Wordpress! You should check out http://indiewebcamp.com - we'd love to have you participate!
#miklbwell, I think I'm going to strip them down and then add. Right now I feel like I have too much going on and don't fully grasp the nuances of the different types.
#doubleloopI guess because I also sent my note to twitter.

#robert33Hello! I'm @33mhz on pnut.io, a little social network silo built in the ashes of (and love for) App.net. I'm interested in respecting microformats and webmention on the network, and would love some pointers.

#robert33What are some good implementations (or ideas for them) wrt social networks that are not decentralized themselves?
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "some good implementations (or ideas for them) wrt social networks that are not decentralized themselves" yet. Would you like to create it?
#jeremycherfasHi robert33. You’ll find that Loqi the Bot likes to answer any question that begins What is or What are.
#LoqiI think hi robert33. you’ll find that loqi the bot likes to answer any question that begins what is
#LoqiIndieWeb friendly refers to online services interoperating well with the indieweb by supporting open indieweb formats, protocols, as well as enabling users to transition to their own indieweb sites https://indieweb.org/friendly
#ben_thatmustbemei'm trying to get a unit test in mastodon for microformats parsing so they don't break it again

#[kevinmarks]Before they missed a h-entry, so all the properties ended up in the feed
#ben_thatmustbeme[kevinmarks]: have you noticed any issues with the mf2 on there now?
skippy joined the channel
#skippythe overloading of elements between h-card and h-entry are confusing me. p-name is person's name on h-card, but post name on h-entry. u-url is home page or post canonical link.
#aaronpkthink of it as "p-name is the name of the thing", and "u-url is the url of the thing"
#skippyis there a recommended practice for inserting some element into the <head> section of my pages to include a link with rel="author" to my home page? I don't want to put "by skippy" on every post on my vanity domain where i'm the only author.
#[cleverdevil]!tell eddie thanks for inspiring continued improvements to my Watching implementation! I've added icons and media links (automatically populated to IMDB and TheTVdb in my Plex webhook) – https://cleverdevil.io/content/watching/

#miklbGWG can you make any suggestions where I might be able to jump in and help with the micropub->post-kinds integration?

#GWGmiklb: Look at the development branch and a new file called class-kind-plugins

#[eddie]!tell cleverdevil I added a feature to have my watch post check the h-cite url, and if it’s a youtube.com link, it will actually embed the video. Pretty stoked about that one. It’s really gonna help my web video posts. My plan once I watch a non-proprietary web video, is to add a u-video property to the h-cite that links to the video file and display that embedded video as well. https://eddiehinkle.com/watch/2017/04/star-wars-the-last-jedi-offic
#[chrisaldrich]It's also been 13+ years, and I still run into URL quirks in WordPress...
#[eddie]tantek: I would definitely be interested in reading blog posts on that. I put medium thought into my urls, but not extensive thought. However, since I’m using a pretty custom CMS (mix of Node.js and Jekyll) the URLs are completely of my own decisions and designs, so anything I can do to improve it, I’m interested in reading and thinking through
#tantekeddie, I've been capturing my notes on it in /URL_design, from the perspective of what I actually implemented in /Falcon, and encouraging other folks to add their opinions / experience / implementation strategies also
#LoqiJust generated this week's newsletter! You still have a few minutes to make changes, and I'll re-generate it 10 minutes before it gets sent out at 3pm Pacific time. https://indieweb.org/this-week/2017-04-14.html
#tantekGWG, makes sense, and you've identified some aspects of WordPress that need improving
#tantekyou could add a note that you'd like to encourage discussion of these issues towards a concrete proposal for resolving them, as a call to action at the end of your post
#tantekthat way when you have possible solutions ready, you can blog those, and refer to this post as having set the stage
#[cleverdevil]Hmmm... anyone here familiar with the Known code for talking to the data store?
