#Loqi[superfeedr] "Bye-bye, Google+ — but what next? by John Carlos Baez (Google+) Google+ is sliding downhill. A couple years ago my posts would garner comments from lots of smart people, leading to long and deep discussions. These days only a few stalwarts remain — a skeleton crew. I've copied most of my posts here to my … Continue reading "A reply to John Carlos Baez on “Bye-bye, Google+ — but what next?”"" by Chris Aldrich on 2017-04-19 http://boffosocko.com/2017/04/19/a-reply-to-john-carlos-baez-on-bye-bye-google-but-what-next/
#Loqi[superfeedr] "It's more than just the words by Rachel Andrew (rachelandrew.co.uk) Personal sites, our blogs, these were once our playgrounds. My own site was the first place I added rollover images, CSS for fonts, tried out a “table free” design. I wrote about the web, surrounded by my own experiments with the web. We all did, … Continue reading "Reply to Rachel Andrew’s “It’s more than just the words”"" by Chris Aldrich on 2017-04-18 http://boffosocko.com/2017/04/18/reply-to-rachel-andrews-its-more-than-just-the-words/
#skippytantek: what do YOU think of the responses?
#tantekskippy - waiting to hear others's opinions first. I've contributed a bunch to indieweb.org/why already so I'm hoping to hear and get additional perspectives added there.

#GWGI did fix the reported problem with classification though
#[colinwalker]That's good to hear, I'll have to test it out once you've fixed the other issue. I did briefly stick your fork on my site but then saw your comment about breaking validation so rolled back.
#GWGI intend to test as many scenarios as possible.

#gRegorLoveHuh, well this is weird. Twitter.com isn't showing me an @-reply I got from someone 11 hours ago, but since I got a webmention I noticed and found the tweet permalink.
#gRegorLoveThey don't have an avatar, so maybe Twitter is filtering?
#tantekgRegorLove: yes they have an option now to not show egg replies
#gRegorLoveHmm, it's not selected. I do have "Quality Filter" on though

#gRegorLoveExpecting most will be pretty new to indieweb, so just wanted to hit some of the basics before demos.
#tantekor at least an annual Gregorian calendar event
#tantekgRegorLove++ looks great! drop the "This is very much in-progress." and just iterate/edit if/when you need to.

#tantek!tell cweiske since your indieweb chat search indexes WebSub notified feeds, have you considered indexing (perhaps separate index?) WebSub notified indieweb sites?
#Loqi[Eugen] I can't stop google from indexing public pages but there's a difference between "possible" and "convenient". There's already hashtags for when you *want* to be discovered via some keyword.
#[cleverdevil]I called them, and pressed the button to reach the billing department and got a message that said "We're sorry, this extension's mailbox is full."
#[cleverdevil]Thankfully, a nice woman at the front desk picked up the phone and said she'd get it handled.

#schmarty[cleverdevil]: interesting that the author of that piece goes out of their way to explain the complications of @mentions across mastodon instances... and makes the exact mistake they are describing.
#Loqitweetstorm is a series of tweets, each replying to the previous, often each numbered so the sequence is clear, as a method of expressing a longer series of related thoughts as a single thread on Twitter https://indieweb.org/tweetstorm
