why are those migration posts tagged indieweb?

#
Zegnat
[miklb] if you are talking about ScalaWilliam’s tweets: because he is moving over to the IndieWeb by selfhosting articles he has written, adding h-card to his domain, etc. He requires h-entry microformats on the migrated articles too.
#
Zegnat
Good morning all!
#
sknebel
I wish microformats parsers were less like lawyers.
#
Zegnat
Hahahaha
#
Loqi
Zegnat: lol
#
sknebel
you ask 3 of them a question and get 3 different answers
#
Zegnat
That’s why you shouldn’t ask them at all. Do like I do: follow the parsing spec and assume everyone will get it right at some point ;)
#
sknebel
Zegnat: okay, then I'll let you answer what's correct according to the parsing spec ;)

Nesting u-comment within the h-cite. Hmm.

how is h-recipe looking for that?

aaronpk
just realized i've been posting plaintext recipes for a while
#
tantek
cool! we should document those as prototype examples
#
tantek
what is a recipe
#
Loqi
recipe is special kind of post, that typically has a name, like articles do, a list of ingredients, and a list of instructions for making something, usually food or drink https://indieweb.org/recipe

i found some examples of what i would consider a blog post (h-entry) that contains a recipe
#
aaronpk
they're all over the place actually, and quite frustrating when I am quickly looking for recipes
leg joined the channel
#
aaronpk
the pattern is the post starts off looking like a blog post, with narrative text about the recipe (but not instructions for the recipe), usually one or more photos interspersed with text. then the recipe below formatted completely differently like you'd expect a recipe card to look

[By Chelsea] Risotto is a pretty awesome rice dish. The truth, though, is that I would probably never make it if I had to make it the traditional way, which involves stirring, and an abundance of time. Luckily I have two devices that will make risotto for me: my...
