#tantekI'm making some presentational tweaks now to simplify even further, and I think the citation template is a bit too wordy for a short list of resources for typical folks
#tantek(it doesn't have to be "academic grade" :) )
#[chrisaldrich]I just noticed that someone slipped in /The_Indieweb_Guide which portends something interesting... I just wish there was more of an outline for their thoughts.
#tantek[chrisaldrich]: take another look - tweaked it a bunch with icons to hopefully make it more scrollable / navigable - also note the simpler list of video and articles https://indieweb.org/Getting_Started
#tantek[chrisaldrich]: I took a look - not much in /The_Indieweb_Guide except for headers which are basically already in /Getting_Started (now) so I noted that. hard part is not abstract structures/heading like that but rather the actual prose - what do you say in each, simply, succinctly, clearly so beginners *can* get started

#tantekwhoa Twitter has a new "Follow search" button on search results pages!
#aaronpkdecided to hard-code my home page tag filter for now to test it out. it's live! my home page now shows posts with tags from a list that also would otherwise be on the home page as well. (so you won't see bookmarks with those matching tags for example since my bookmarks never go to my home page)

#sketchess!tell tantek: Think of a beginner's attempt what ever you like. I find it personally impolite to not giving it the tiniest chance. I know I don't have to justify myself and I won't. Have a nice day.
#Loqisketchess: [chrisaldrich] left you a message 7 hours, 2 minutes ago: you haven't seen it, you could potentially use https://commentpara.de/ to login to the IndieWeb wiki
#Loqisketchess: [chrisaldrich] left you a message 7 hours, 2 minutes ago: It would be as an anonymous user, but it'll at least get you going if you need it.

#sketchess!tell [chrisaldrich]: I already know. Thank you very much.
#M-DzzzzzzRIm involved with a couple of projects where people, understandably, want a Facebook presence. Wondering best tools to integrate. Anything other than known or WordPress worth checking out?

#ZegnatThere is Bridgy Publish, see https://brid.gy/about#publishing, that can post content from your website to Facebook, completely separate from whatever CMS your website runs on.
#ZegnatThere is also https://silo.pub/ which would allow someone to use Micropub clients to post to silos like Facebook.
#M-DzzzzzzRAnything able to mirror Facebook comments?
#ZegnatMirror how? Bridgy can send webmentions for comments you get on Facebook to your own site, so you can then import them / display them

#M-DzzzzzzRZegnat thanks, Yeah so looking for POSSE sending out to silos & responses there mirrored on our site. Your response helpful, as was indieweb wiki.
#[bigblind]I'm thinking of building a set of tools for indieweb publishers with statically generated websites. The tool would take care of polling the site for updates and sending out webmentions for mentioned links.

#[bigblind]It could also, in the future, accept webmentions, and automatically commit them to the source repository from which the site is generated.
#[bigblind]Does something like this already exist, or could it be a good idea to build this?
