#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "kanban" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "kanban is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#[mifga]aww, i was certain that some indieweb folks might have been hacking on kanban+plaintext socketed into indie sites
#[mifga]i’m still in the land of wanting to mess with private notes, do work on tasks and notes, and then pub them, which isn’t necessarily the coolest thing in indieweb. it is sorta just “creating stuff to share online.” but i am in envy of the time and care folks like [tantek] have spent into thinking through processes, even if the part I’m excited about is just the operational and he’s actually doing awesome community-benefitting things with
#GWGWell, I have linked my weather sensors and device trackers to it
#GWGSo, my site supports weather providers and location, so this would be an alternative source
#raziellightSounds pretty cool then you can like measure tornados and see them go around in circles
#GWGI live in New York. Not usually tornado country
#raziellightMaybe a few beautifully repetitive snowflakes then

#chrisaldrichHi, my name is chrisaldrich and I'm an indieweb-aholic. Apparently I may need a new sponsor since my addiction is getting worse instead of better.... ;)
#chrisaldrichYou guys do such nice code, the least I could do is document a bit of it....
#GWGHi, chrisaldrich. Welcome to Indiewebbers Anonymous
#GWGchrisaldrich, I enjoy seeing people use my stuff more than I do
#chrisaldrichI know one or two who are tinkering to get issues working already.
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "Home Assistant" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Home Assistant is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#chrisaldrichStill not seeing any icon associated with username.wordpress.com syndicated links...
#chrisaldrichI still need to switch over to https to take better advantage of the location and weather stuff.
#GWGHome Assistant is an open source home automation platform written in Python that emphasizes usage of upstream libraries to add new support and has an active community of contributors.
#chrisaldrichThey'll need to have some sort of different alarm to distinguish "old" sites from ones that are truly compromised though. I often find that some of their alarms for sites with issues make it much harder to actually get to them though.
#petermolnar_to be honest, I'm getting an encryption fatigue as well... I get it, it's useful, because it prevents data sniffing an tracking, but shouldn't instead we stop sniffing and tracking?
#unicronpetermolnar_: how do you propose to do that
#tantekselfdogfooding is a form of "proof of work" as it were
#tantekhas nothing to do with "do(ing) unto others"

#tantekkevinmarks what motivated that post? I'm assuming you had some good reason for it.

#[kevinmarks]I was preparing Dogfood and was reminded of that being a terrible metaphor
#[kevinmarks]The assumption that the programmer is the prototypical user fails in several ways.
#[kevinmarks]I get that the underlying idea is that you should be subject to your own systems constraints

#[kevinmarks]My dogs always want to eat my food, even if it would make them very ill (chocolate, onions). I don't want to eat the food that is best for them (as above).
#[kevinmarks]We could probably both eat salami or jerky but it's probably better that we get what suits us.
