@kevinmarks @jensenharris The pattern we have used in #indieweb is “chat for conversation, wiki for permanence” and a bot we can use to both query and update the wiki with information. skippy does anyone have a writeup of their indieweb workflow with POSSE and backfill? How do folks reply to tweets, for example, from their own domains? Or do they not, and simply rely on brid.gy to get the Twitter-posted replies collected into their sites?

Zegnat I am pretty sure several people write their twitter replies on their own domain.

Zegnat Quill (the micropub client) can be set-up to syndicate the reply to Twitter directly, I believe. Other people might have their CMS syndicate (e.g. Known comes with tools for that IIRC). And others might be using Bridgy Publish or SiloPub to push to Twitter after posting the reply to their own site (the oposite of backfill, using an external service to copy a local post to a Twitter post)

jeremycherfas The big decision is whether to do everything on my own domain or be selective about doing some things on Twitter and some things on my site. In general, I tend to do Likes in Twitter and replies where context matters there too. The rest is on my site.

jeremycherfas This goes to the recent post by chrisaldrich about what a Like means for each of us. A Like, for me, on Twitter, is not something I need to own. A like of a blog post is different, and closer to a bookmark.
