Hey [aaronpk] and #indieweb. Couple things I've been meaning to post. One is that I got some amazing information/inspiration form Jeremy Kieth about Indie Web and the web in general: https://youtu.be/tLAI02TY7vI

hi Jared!
#
[JaredEwy]
The other is that I work at domain registrar Name.com and promo code INDIEWEB is good for
#

At-cost COM, NET, ORG domains
#
[JaredEwy]
20% off new domains listed at www.thedonuts.domains
#
[JaredEwy]
Free whois privacy.
#
[JaredEwy]
50% off a year of our Namebuilder Hosting
#
[JaredEwy]
That hosting is our mid-level package and you can host multiple sites on it. I'm not even sure if I should discount it that much, but what the heck. Indie Web is awesome.

schmarty - or you could give such responses a nice reply-context so they look "ok" in your main feed and make sense to folks :)
#
schmarty
tantek: i would indeed like to make them look nice w/ context! this is part of a more general problem of wanting better separation of "themes" of content on my site.
#
schmarty
i already feel awkward with so many likes of very technical posts, and i feel like putting my github interactions in my main feed creates a real cognitive dissonance in terms of who i think should see that content and who i think should see the other stuff on my website.
#
tantek
as long as you make the presentational minimal enough, the folks that don't get much out of such very technical content will skim right over it

schmarty
(i notice that i don't seem to think of what i do on github as being something i tie up with my primary identity)
