#Loqilocal development is (or local dev, local dev setup) the practice of having a version of your site on your local machine like a laptop that you can use for development purposes, even when offline https://indieweb.org/%22.dev%22

#[kim_landwehr]OK I got Monocle.p3k.io working using my blot.im account, now I am trying to figure how to save articles to read later, any suggestions?
#[tantek]Aaronpk can you add the blogpost about .dev and policy there to that wiki page ^^
#[tantek]I’ll confront the data transfer folks about it in person when I meet with them next Friday (the 8th)
#[cleverdevil][kim_landwehr] Indiepaper will publish saved articles to the Micropub server you login with. If you’re using Aperture, it’s best to login with the URL https://aperture.p3k.io so that you can save articles to a channel in Aperture.

#[chrisaldrich][eddie] Time to update the copyright in your footer from 2017 to 2018.... 😉
#Loqion this day is a feature on some silos and indieweb sites which show posts published on the current (typically Gregorian) day of the year in previous years; commons sites tend to show more general historical events that occurred on that same day https://indieweb.org/OTD
#@kickscondorI admit that the Indieweb (and the blogosphere before it) seemed repellent at first - I thought it was navel-gazing. Blogging about blogging. I think I discounted the beauty of innovating a medium by simply using the medium. (twitter.com/_/status/1022369274567028736)
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "open badge" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "open badge is ____", a sentence describing the term)

#jgmac1106we have some page somewhere [dougbeal] but open badges is an “open” standard mantained by IMS Global that uses a JSON-LD to bake a bunch of metadata into an image
#jgmac1106!tell Marcozde are you okay with me linking your about me page? I want to include some pieces on diversity and learning on the web in my “Who Am I Module?” https://edu-522.glitch.me/moduleone.html

#jgmac1106if you have a personal post or anything that goes more into depth about learning or building while blind happy to swap as well
#jgmac1106may not be so sharing with my Glitch projects, the h-entry stuff got stripped from my templates

#[eddie]!tell [chrisaldrich] Thanks! haha yeah, the funny thing is the static pages built by Jekyll have 2017 copyright, and the dynamic pages that are replacing the static pages are copyright 2018. I should probably just update the static template's year 🙂

#[kim_landwehr][cleverdevil] I am logging into Monocle using https://aperture.p3k.io/ I get the error missing_endpoint. We didn't find a Microsub endpoint at your website. Not sure how to fix it. TIA

#[eddie]Hey [kim_landwehr] You would log into IndiePaper with aperture.p3k.io, but log into Monocle with your personal URL, not aperture.p3k.io 🙂
#[eddie]Because your personal url has the microsub link that already points to aperture
donblanco joined the channel
#[kim_landwehr][eddie] once I do that do I need to create a speacial channel or source in aperture?
#[eddie]Since I haven't read ALL the logs and am not entirely sure where you are in the process I'll give a couple step outline 🙂 the first thing about IndiePaper is deciding if you want to add it to an existing channel or a new channel. If you want to add it to a new channel then you first step is to log in to https://aperture.p3k.io and create a new channel.
#[eddie]That will take you to Aperture which will as for YOUR url so it knows who is trying to add IndiePaper
#[eddie]That will then verify you are who you say you are, but having you approve that you want to allow Aperture to use your info
#[eddie]Then Aperture should be logged in and will ask you what channel you want to save IndiePaper articles into
#[eddie]Select the channel you want and click the "Save" or confirmation button
#[eddie]That will then take you back to IndiePaper.io where you can add a bookmarklet or automatically configure the macOS or iOS apps (depending on what device you are on)
#[eddie]Saving articles through the IndiePaper bookmarklet or apps should now be ready
#[eddie]Then, once you've saved an article you are ready to go to Monocle and login with your personal url, which already knows about Aperture and you should be able to go to the channel you selected with IndiePaper and see any articles you save
#[eddie]That should be all the steps 🙂 Feel free to ask any questions about the above steps, I know that was a lot
#[kim_landwehr][eddie] do you know if the ios workflow is working?
marclaporte joined the channel
#[eddie]Oh yes, it does. To use workflow, on the "Bookmark/Configure app" page there is a "Show Details" button
#[eddie]If you click the Show Details button, it should present the information you need for Workflow

#[eddie]🙌 Officially launched my (unborn) son's site https://luke.hinkle.life It's a small view only website that links back to canonical posts on my own website. But the posts get there when I select his website as my syndication target
#[eddie]lol his website will be > 24 hours older than he is
#@stewartDetails: • Atlassian is discontinuing Hipchat/Stride • Slack is purchasing the IP to better support those users who choose to migrate • We’re both working closely together to make sure that’s as simple and painless a process as possible … (twitter.com/_/status/1022574777230229504)
