Zegnat petermolnar: not unless you are providing posting rights as a service. So I guess wordpress.com might need it, but WordPress the CMS specifically not.

petermolnar a CMS with an online accessible interface is a service, no? The difference is the number of users.

[eddie] I see a service as something that a company provides maintenance and upkeeps for people. Whereas Software is something you have to install and upkeep.

vyoma thanks [cleverdevil] - as of now, I am just going over the introductory videos again and the Wiki. So no questions at the moment. Earlier, I had gone the route of Wordpress initially and then Drupal. This time around, I might just stay with static sites. Way easier to manage. From what I understand, it is still possible to go IndieWeb with static sites.
