#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "nostalgia" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "nostalgia is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#@_jordan_batesThe bite-size nature of information on Twitter is an intractable problem with using the platform Regardless of how you use it, you're training your brain to salivate for constant milkduds of info from novel sources, sabotaging your ability to focus extendedly on books, etc (twitter.com/_/status/1026289173433528320)
#[jgmac1106][arush] will have someone else send me a webmention to test.. I could have easily broke it when I was trying to remove some Open Graph stuff without knowing what I was doing... Need to revert my build

#[asuh]I’ll see if I can make it to vHWC in a couple of hours, probably late if I do show

#jgmac1106@arush I think I figured it out. I can receive mentions as webmentions with the native comment plugin off but I can not receive replies as webmentions with native comments off. Which is no good as native comments on Known have become quite the spam vector as of late.
#[jgmac1106][arush] i was wrong....oh wait you are at SF...I forgot my bad...
#[dave]I am now one step closer to living my best life.
#[dave]In vHWC [gRegorLove] brought up the concept of sort of "IndieWeb new year's resolutions". I don't really have a specific one, but I'm starting to adopt the bullet journal methodology and mixing it with the concept of agile sprint planning and hoping to use those to get my ideas into an action plan for Indie Web stuff and in general.
#jackyI think I might post a note about some of mine
#[dave]I know I want to convert my homebrew CMS for my puzzle blog into a more indie-web-friendly site, but I need to do more research and split out specific tasks.
#[dave]Like I'd kinda like ActivityPub support so people can follow the site directly instead of me having to post from my mastodon instance.
#[dave]And I know I need to beef up my microformat usage as well.
#[dave]Will keep an eye out for your post [Jacky_See]
#[dave]I've heard good things about it. But that also reminds me that I still need to add webmentions support to it as well.

#gRegorLoveNice, [dave]. I tried Bullet Journal for a little bit last year. Kinda liked it, but didn't keep up with it unfortunately.
#jeremycherfasI’ve been doing it for a few years, but it has slowly evolved for me. Combination now of timetabling and, the newest wheeze, five projects only.
#gRegorLoveWhoa, Jen Simmons at HWC SF, very cool!
#jgmac1106well what you really mean is your baby as you can’t edit out loud
#jgmac1106we shouldn’t have talked for two hours….though it was fun
#jgmac1106do you not have a type c 3.5 dongle? I can never ever spend that much money on wireless headphones that small…and you have a baby…dollars to donuts they are sitting in a diaper in a landfill somewhere
#[eddie]It’s nice that it’s snowing all day here! Really getting to enjoy my snowfall homepage!
#[eddie]One optimization is I’d love to use CSS to pull the content forward a little so I can make some of the snow fall behind things like photos. Make it feel more 3D

#jgmac1106eddie allow flash on your site just for the holidays and embed all the snowflakes people make on http://snowdays.me/

#[chrisaldrich][dave] In re: your resolution about bullet journaling and planning, you might want to take a look at [jgmac1106]'s work with Pomodoro and his tomato timer stuff which seems roughly similar.
#LoqiHoliday theme is a temporary custom CSS or other change in a website typically meant to visually indicate the celebration of a holiday or special occasion https://indieweb.org/holiday_theme
#[dave][chrisaldrich] will do -- thanks for the heads up
#[dave]I haven't done a holiday theme in a while, but I have a special one for my Haunted Mirror Maze puzzle section that I used to apply sitewide leadng up to Halloween.
#[eddie]Inspired by macOS Mojave's changing desktop wallpaper based on time of day, I'm tempted to change the colors and theme of my site to match the time of day of the visitor
#[eddie]Oh cool, [dave] Do you have a link we can check out?
#[dave]More pressingly, I usually do a giant Puzzle Advent Calendar each year, and after skipping last year, I really ought to try to make one this year.
#[dave]There's also a custom theme on https://thegriddle.net/home for the profile section of my site, which needs an overhaul or some deletion or something.
#[tantek][dave] I think we've discussed doing doing year end IndieWeb stuff like that before
#[eddie]Essentially, if there is a Holiday/Weather theme that would win out, but if not, then it would do time of day as long as the person doesn't have dark mode turned on. Dark Mode would override the time of day because the user has explicit said they want content to be dark
#[eddie]sebsel, that's so interesting. I am overloading syndicate-to in order to add my posts to channels in my server since no Micropub clients support channels
