#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "Blue Yeti" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Blue Yeti is ____", a sentence describing the term)

#Loqi[Ben McVerry] Hey now I can use events, RSVP, and locatoin.
#[jgmac1106][jeremycherfas] I am now 0/2 in trying to make indo/plugins

#jeremycherfasI haven't followed in detail; what have you been trying to make?

#[jgmac1106]a listening and read plugin by forking [cleverdevil] watching plugin
#jeremycherfasAh. I haven't looked at the watching plugin at all. Doesn't really interest me. Where did you get stuck? I would imagine it could be repurposed. But what do I know?
#jeremycherfasA lot of it seems to be concerned with an image to accompany the other details.

#[cleverdevil][jgmac1106] took a very quick look a moment ago... try renaming "read.php" to "Read.php" first.

#pfrazeehey indie webbers! I need some insight on the stack
#pfrazeewhen you visit people's personal sites, you have buttons to follow each other and etc, right?
#pfrazeehow are those implemented? Is there something akin to an intent system that routes to your own software?

#sknebelpfrazee: there's a system that works based on protocol handlers that was developed a while back: https://indieweb.org/indie-confighttps://indieweb.org/webactions, but right now the bigger trend (from what I see) is more towards social readers where you can reply/like/... out of the reader
#pfrazeesknebel: thanks. How would you *prefer* this got solved? The readers are a pragmatic solution but it would be nice if https://pfrazee.com (for example) were just "my profile" in the same way as on, like, twitter
#sknebelproblems with the interface in the site are a) what does it do for people that do not have it set up b) is it recognizable if there is no common design to profile pages and c) I have to expect many sites not supporting it
#sknebelso personally, I think there's good reasons to prefer browser UI (in the form of extensions for now of course) and for people you already follow the readers
#sknebeli.e. I can reply to blog posts with a micropub client that's a browser extension, and my feedreader (I use a traditional one for now) has one so I can quickly follow new pages, and the UI is always the same

#[jgmac1106]hello @cambridgeport90 my kid has a basketball game I am running off to but people here can asnwer Activity Pub questions

#cambridgeport90[Thanks jgmac1106 . I think this will be a fun group, that's for sure. I love how this works. I want to set one of these servers up myself when I get to it. Doesn't seem too complicated. Seems like something you could do with Docker easily.

#cambridgeport90[I'm curious, though if you have a ActivityPubn plugin enabled on a site, then do you still need to connect with BridgyFed? I'm still confused about that.
#gRegorLoveNot much, unfortunately. I'm thinking about what indieweb newwwyear commitments I want to make. Releasing the source of indiebookclub will probably be one.
#gRegorLoveAnd working out some of the details on possibly switching the read-status property to a category on the read post.
