#ginoGreetings all. Feeling rather overwhelmed by the range of options/technologies. I'm intending my site to be static if possible (exported from Emacs/Orgmode). Adding h- microformat tags isn't hard. Any thoughts for first steps (e.g. enabling fediverse notification of new posts)?
#KartikPrabhufirst step would be to get a domain and start publishing content there
#ginoOk, sites down at the moment but I have a domain and am familiar with HTML/CSS, setting up Apache on a VPS. It's the hooking of activitypub into an (ideally) static site that puzzles me
#[Vincent]@gino some static site generators like 11ty can pull in dynamic content at build time. Or you can also push content in to the Github API (and force a rebuild if you use Netlify as a host) from an external service. Mine external service is on Heroku.
#petermolnarevening all; [kevinmarks] linked an article that got me thinking about my "landing" page. As a common practice, most of us serve it as a feed, but I've started questioning that decision. However, if I drop the feed, how would an indieweb following work on my site?
#petermolnargiven there would be no central h-feed
