[tantek]petermolnar, yes, about once a month I see someone new refer to dweb as dweeb. It's got lots of other problems, and that one in particular doesn't really make it sound particularly inclusive.
petermolnarother topic though: are there any desktop micropub implementations yet? Mainly for static generators, because having a service running for this kind of defeats the static site idea.
petermolnar[schmarty]: I was thinking of a local gui for static generators (local can be via web interface, synthing-like): still does the indieauth dance, the micropub queries towards the site, but generates output locally, into configured location, maybe even in yaml + markdown format, or something similar
[schmarty]interesting. my personal PHP-based micropub server does the local output in yaml+markdown thing, but i run it on a server, and it automatically rebuilds and deploys my site each time.
jackjamiesonFor those who may be interested, I'm presenting a poster about IndieWeb (specifically Bridgy) at the Social Media and Society Conference in Toronto this weekend. http://socialmediaandsociety.org/
jackjamiesonBig thanks to snarfed for taking time to talk about Bridgy's development with me, and for providing feedback on a previous draft of the paper
